To put things in perspective, Instagram currently has over 2 billion users, and Twitter sits at around 611 million. While Threads hasn’t reached those numbers yet, it’s important to remember that both Instagram and Twitter have been around for more than a decade.

Threads are growing and getting more attention. But there are other factors that you should also consider, like - is your target audience actively using Threads? If you're not able to find your ideal customers on Threads, you're better off directing your time and effort (not to mention social media budget) elsewhere.
Once you've made the decision to start posting on Threads, it's time to think strategically about how to grow your audience. While you could experiment with various content types and wait to see what performs well, a more efficient approach is to apply proven growth tactics from the start.

One of the simplest — and most effective — ways to build your following on Threads is to let your existing audience know you’re there. Promote your Threads account on platforms where you’re already active, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter.

Note: Currently, there's no option to go Live on Threads, but you can share interactive content like polls, and quizzes to boost engagement.

Start by defining your goals, identifying key topics, and thinking about relevant hashtags. Keep in mind that Threads users tend to prefer content that’s clear, relatable, and easy to engage with.
